      Hi Everyone

I have been looking at shaping career journey for BA’s besides BA manager or Product owner/Program manager and i recently came across a title called Business Architect.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience working with business architects and knew what their role was.

Is this closely related to being a solution architect or enterprise architect?

A free search on linked in with people having the title showed a lot of them having CBAP certifications or some kind of technical solution architecting certificate. I’m  curious to know how their role is different than a BA’s role and see if there is an overlap in skillset.

      Thank You

      Kind Regards

      Jags

Hi Jags, I’ve actually worked as a Business Architect and with Business Architects. Enterprise Architecture is the umbrella term and it should ideally contain an integrated view of all the other architectures (business, data, applications/systems, security etc) for an organisation. A solution architecture is a recommended “blueprint” for a specific solution (that is to be delivered) that would ultimately fit into the enterprise architecture once the solution is implemented.  I’m happy for us to chat more offline – feel free to give me a shout. Thanks
